''There is no force however great Can stretch a cord however fine Into a horizontal line That IS absolutely straight''

In this piece I am influenced by some of the ideas in Helmholtz's book, where he discusses what to do when you have found a ''perfect'' song like the above song by George Spencer-Brown or indeed by, say, Mozart. The question becomes how to make it your own, within the limits of what is ''perfect'' and that is what I've tried to do in this song. Hope you enjoy.
